Retail Federation says recovery is "slow but steady"

Leaders of the Florida Retail Federation said Tuesday the state's economy is showing "slow but steady" recovery from the recession.

Rick McAllister, president of the business group, said about a quarter-million retail companies in Florida added 55,000 jobs between December 2012 and last December. He said that's an increase of 5.5 percent, spurred largely by consumer confidence.
