Political junkies who focus on Florida anticipate this type of year. As the governor, Cabinet, all eligible state House members and half the Senate make their cases to stay in office, their opposition will pitch how they'd do a better job. It will be a year of promises and debate, mudslinging and outrage, and likely stratospheric sums spent on campaigns. So here's a look at the Sunshine State's political calendar for the coming year.

Adrian Wyllie, libertarian candidate for Florida governor in 2014, could be a crucial factor in the outcome of the race, even if he doesn't win. But he could be shut out of televised debates, just as the libertarian candidate for governor in Virginia has been. ... The chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, though, scoffed at the suggestion that slumping poll numbers might spur an intra-party GOP challenge to Scott. ...
