Collins Institute study paints grim picture

There is an economic downside to being a top tourist destination and retirement goal for millions of Americans, according to a new study of Florida's fiscal future released Thursday.

Two economists and a political science professor presented "Tougher Choices: Shaping Florida's Future," an update of the 2005 series of reports called "Tough Choices" by the LeRoy Collins Institute.
