DJJ to ask budget panel to stretch funds to address shortfall

The Department of Juvenile Justice, facing a potential $54.5 million shortfall in its budget, will ask the Legislative Budget Commission on Thursday to help cover the budget gap that threatens to shut down some juvenile detention centers.
