Florida consumer confidence continues upward trend

According to a report from the University of Florida's Survey Research Center, consumer confidence went up three points for the second month in a row, bringing it to 79.

Four out of the five components that the report tracks saw jumps. Expectations of personal finance a year from now saw the largest gain, rising six points to 78.  Perceptions of personal finance compared to a year ago rose five points to 70. Views on U.S. economic conditions over the next year rose three points to 80, while U.S. expectations over the next five years went up one point to 77. The fifth component, which tracks whether consumers think it is a good time to buy big ticket items, stayed the same at 90 points.
