The governor's Chief Inspector General's Office starts its search for an inspector general for Citizens Property Insurance Corp. this week, DEP meets to consider rule development for petroleum cleanup sites, and a forum will be held in Jacksonville on the Silver Springs and the St. Johns River.
The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has a new chief economist, the 10th Circuit Court has a new judge and the Florida Department of Children and Families has a new legislative affairs team.
This week we learned that Gov. Scott used an incentive deal made prior to a trade mission to justify such trips, that the state and Amazon are talking again about the online retailer setting up Florida facilities and that Scott signed a bill to speed up death penalty cases.
