Bullard, Thompson don't like Scott's math on education

Senators Dwight Bullard, D-Miami, and Geraldine Thompson, D-Orlando, on Wednesday took issue with Gov. Rick Scott’s take on his proposed budget.

When he released a budget proposal last month, Scott said his call for $18.8 billion in funding for the K-12 education system was “historic.”  Bullard pointed out that more than half of the increase over the 2013 budget of $18.3 billion would come from local property taxes.
