Common Core clean-up bill leaves foes with 'perception of deception'

A House committee Wednesday voted to expunge the name “Common Core” from state statutes.  Opponents of the academic standards adopted by Florida and 44 other states warned the panel that voting to remove the words from the state lawbook and not withdrawing the Florida from a Common Core system would create a “perception of deception.”
