Ring takes another swing with autism bill

Babe Ruth reportedly said, “Every strike brings me closer to a home run.” Jeremy Ring is no Babe Ruth; he’s a Florida state senator who has written a bill to help parents who suspect their child may have an autism spectrum disorder. And, like the Bambino, Ring keeps swinging for the fence: For the sixth straight session he has introduced a bill that would allow a parent to schedule a child for an ASD screening with a psychiatrist or neurologist without authorization from insurance companies.
