Panel proposes public review before military has training in state forests

A Florida Forest Service official on Thursday offered to require that a state council vote on any military training missions that eventually are proposed for state forests.

The statement during a state Acquisition and Restoration Council meeting was in response to public concerns and opposition to possible military training missions at Blackwater River and Tate's Hell state forests.
