A change in the funding formula for public schools initiated by lawmakers in the spring has cost the Florida Virtual School $20 million and may be a factor in a 10-to 15-percent drop in enrollment. The Department of Education and FVS representatives Wednesday provided a Senate committee an update on SB 1514 which revised funding for the statewide online school.
