Newfound concerns from Gov. Rick Scott are holding up legislation that would prompt the collection of a sales tax on goods purchased online, sponsors of the measure said this week.
Scott has stated previously that he would sign a bill that calls on Internet retailers like Amazon to collect the 6 percent state sales tax, provided the bill is “revenue neutral,” or contains offsetting tax cuts.
