Fasano calls for public engagement on Medicaid expansion

A Republican representative is calling on Florida's residents to help persuade his fellow GOP lawmakers to extend Medicaid coverage to nearly a million Floridians who have no health insurance.

“It greatly concerns me by the time session ends nothing will have been accomplished,” said Rep. Mike Fasano, R-Pasco at a news conference organized by Health Care for Florida Now, a coalition of 83 Florida-based groups supporting expansion of Medicaid as called for in the Affordable Care Act.
