Hospitals say they had no input on Medicaid payment plan

Implementation of a new Medicaid payment method to hospitals may have been slowed by complaints from the state’s 200-plus hospitals.

The Florida Hospital Association and the Safety Net Hospital Alliance of Florida say they did not have effective input in the Agency for Health Care Administration’s development of a Diagnosis-Related Groups payment plan, a decision involving about $3 billion.
