A proposal increasing regulations on assisted living facilities passed out of a Senate committee Tuesday on a unanimous vote. SPB 7010 clarifies ALFs' responsibilities in providing care for residents with mental health problems, provides the Agency for Health Care Administration more authority to revoke a facility’s license, and requires ALFs to inform new residents of the nature of complaints about the facility made to the state’s ALF ombudsman program.
