Sales and prices for existing single-family homes and condominiums rose sharply in December, according to a report released by Florida Realtors on Tuesday.
Home resales jumped 15.8 percent last month in the year-over-year comparison, and the median sale price of $154,000 is a 14.1 percent increase over December 2011. The median number of days on the market for home resales fell from 71 days to 59 days. Condo sales rose 8.6 percent, with the median sale price jumping 26.3 percent to $117,500. The median amount of days for condos on the market fell by five days to 60 days on the market.
