Florida’s gambling decisions historically have been compulsive, but will now be based on numbers, data and reason, Sen. Garrett Richter, chairman of the Senate Gaming Committee, said Monday.
The Naples Republican’s comments came during the first meeting of his panel, which listened to presentations from state economists, regulators, the Department of Lottery and committee staff members on Florida’s compact with the Seminole Tribe.
