State law enforcement officials have pledged to continue the Statewide Drug Strike Force even though funding authority for the strike force ran out on Tuesday.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey lauded the strike force during a press conference in October, saying it was responsible for 3,300 arrests, the seizure of 785,000 pills, 530 weapons and $10 million in cash and the closing of 254 “pill mills.”
