Discussion of a new evaluation system for teachers dominated interim Education Commissioner Pam Stewart’s presentation before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education Thursday. A draft report released Wednesday listed some teacher’s evaluation more than once. Stewart explained that was because some teachers are paid by more than one source so their evaluations were reported more than once. She contended the glitch did not invalidate the system.
