House Democrats will push election reforms

House Democratic leaders expressed optimism Wednesday that Republicans will join in getting Florida elections out of Jay Leno's monologue next year.

"There's been a lot of talk of actually doing something about it," House Minority Leader Perry Thurston, D-Plantation, said at a news conference. "You saw people standing in line for seven, eight hours, which is really just unfathomable. There are real problems, there are real big problems."
