Hoping to add jobs and generate economic activity through increased trade, Rep. Lake Ray, R-Jacksonville, is preparing legislation to facilitate the transportation of goods from Florida’s ports to its rails and roads.
He told fellow members of the House Economic Affairs Committee in order for Florida to become a trade giant, its 14 ports must cooperate, not compete against each other for business.
