Scott orders inquiry into state's election woes

Gov. Rick Scott Wednesday directed Secretary of State Ken Detzner to find out why there were long lines at Florida polling places and delays in counting the vote on election day.

“I have asked Secretary Detzner to meet most immediately with those election supervisors who experienced lines in excess of four hours and those who took several days to tabulate votes and report results. Floridians should not have to wait several days for the results of a major presidential election,” Scott said in a statement released by his office.
