Frank Brogan is the chancellor of the State University System of Florida, and was lieutenant governor of Florida from 1999 to 2003 under Gov. Jeb Bush and president of Florida Atlantic University from 2003 to 2009 when he became chancellor. A native of Cincinnati, Brogan, 59, moved to Florida in 1978 and began his career as a teacher in the Martin County school system.
