State officials and the U.S. Air Force have signed an agreement to use Florida state forests for military training exercises.
Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam said the agreement would allow for training missions on state forests with no bombing or firing of ammunition. Tate's Hell and Blackwater River are two Panhandle state forests that were mentioned for possible military use.
