Coastal counties meet to consider uses for oil spill compensation

Representatives of 23 Gulf Coast counties in Florida are scheduled to meet Wednesday in St. Pete Beach to discuss 2010 oil spill compensation.

The Florida Association of Counties is hosting the meeting to discuss creating a consortium to help identify projects that could receive hundreds of millions of dollars in fines or a settlement of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
