Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday praised Secretary Herschel T. Vinyard as pressure on the DEP chief mounted.

The Tampa Bay Times wrote in an editorial Wednesday the governor and secretary should explain why DEP wetlands expert Connie Bersok was suspended with pay after she said her boss was trying to bend the rules to issue a permit for construction in wetlands.
