State and federal officials say about 4,450 Floridians will be paid $37.7 million because of errors in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill claims process.
That's more than half of the $64 million total that will be paid to 7,300 people and businesses whose claims with BP's $20 billion compensation fund were shortchanged or wrongfully denied.
