Counties announce lawsuit to block Medicaid billing scheme

The Florida Association of Counties announced Thursday that it will sue to block a Medicaid bill-collection scheme recently signed into law.

The legal challenge has been approved by the association's board and will be filed in Leon County in the coming weeks. Part of the legal argument will likely center on provisions in the state constitution that limit unfunded mandates and reductions in state revenue sharing.
