The Republican Party of Florida's fundraising totals dropped off from the same period last year, but still showed an advantage over their Democratic counterparts, according to financial disclosures filed Tuesday.
The Republicans raised nearly $3 million during the first reporting period of 2012, which covered the period from January through March. The Florida Democratic Party reported contributions of almost $1.2 million. During the same period of 2010, the Republicans raised $7.7 million while Democrats raised $2.7 million.
