Growth bill amendments seen as benefiting developers are thwarted in Senate

Two proposed amendments to a growth management bill that would have favored developers were rejected as out or order by the Senate on Monday.

HB 4003 by Rep. Jose Felix Diaz, R-Miami, would terminate the Urban Infill and Redevelopment Assistance Grant Program. The bill passed the House on Jan. 25 by an 85-32 vote and was rolled over to third reading in the Senate on Monday.
