With tremendous changes already in the pipeline, it may not have been surprising that Florida lawmakers this year showed restraint when it came to health care.

Florida lawmakers just a year ago passed sweeping changes to Medicaid and they expect those changes to be put in place by 2014 if the state can win eventual approval from the federal government. Additionally, by this summer the nation should know whether or not President Barack Obama’s overhaul of the health care system -- the Affordable Care Act -- is upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.
