Funding measure fails to get on charter school bill

An effort to funnel more money for maintenance and construction projects to charter schools was left off legislation that would increase the number of charter schools that can be built. The amendment failed Tuesday when members of the House PreK-12 Education Appropriations Subcommittee voted it down.
