Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater has hired an investigator to head the state’s insurance fraud unit and is paying him $100,000 annually.
Daniel Anderson will direct the state’s efforts to ferret out fraud in insurance lines including personal injury protection (PIP) as well as workers' compensation, two lines of insurance Atwater’s office has signaled are rife fraud and in need of legislative fixes.
