Department of Economic Opportunity debuts, combining three departments

The new Department of Economic Opportunity opened it doors for its first regular business day on Monday.

The department was established under SB 2156, which combined the Agency for Workforce Innovation, the governor's Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development (OTTED) and some divisions of the Florida Department of Community Affairs.
