Infographic: Obesity in Florida

A report released last month from the Trust for America's Health has named Florida as the 29th most obese state in the nation. F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America's Future reported on the obesity rates of all 50 states. Florida’s average adult obesity rate was 26.1 percent during the period from 2008 through 2010. The average percent of Floridians who were either overweight or obese during that same three year period was 62.6 percent. Obesity rates have steadily risen over the past twenty years in Florida.
